Workplace Donations

Employees can donate to the United Way by giving through payroll deduction. You can give as little as $1 a week or as much as you would like. It is like giving up one soda pop or one candy bar a week.

A workplace campaign is easy to coordinate. The community reaps the rewards of people making a difference in someone’s life. A United Way representative will meet with you to discuss the details and benefits of giving.

What does it entail?

  • Attend employee campaign coordinator training provided by the United Way.
  • Recruit an enthusiastic campaign team.
  • Establish a company goal and timeline.
  • Run an educational and fun campaign.
  • Make sure the employees are educated about the United Way and have an opportunity to fill out a pledge card.
  • Thank all employees who have contributed.

Consider this....

$1.00 a week would provide one night of emergency shelter

$2.00 a week would pay for
10 prescriptions for the elderly

$5.00 per week would feed three people for days

$10.00 per week would heat someone’s home for two months
